TONI&GUY Cleanse Dry Shampoo Review

Here with another dry shampoo review! I'll be giving you guys my thoughts on the TONI&GUY Cleanse Dry Shampoo. I bought this one on a spontaneous buy while I was walking around Ulta. All I remember at that moment was looking at the TONI&GUY section, seeing this on the shelf, and I'm thinking to myself I got to try this cause I was in a need for a new dry shampoo. To be honest I didn't see the price for it and I wouldn't think it would be expensive but it ran up to be $16.99. It is way to pricy for me to spend on a dry shampoo but I really wanted to try it so I got it anyways.

I'm just going to get to the point about this one and I just want to say it doesn't work. It does not take away the oil at all. If you were to spray this in your hair it will still look oily and I think the point of dry shampoo is to make it look like you've taken a shower while taking away the excess oil. I have fine straight hair and I usually use dry shampoo on the 3rd and 4th day. Every time I use this dry shampoo I would always have to tie my hair up because my hair look so oily. I thought it was just the way I was using it so I've tried shaking it for a longer period of time, or spraying at a closer or farther distance and the result were all the same: oily looking hair. I would not suggest this product at all. Plus it is way to expensive for a dry shampoo. I think I've learn my lesson to research my products first before spontaneous buying them.

Tresemme Thermal Creations - 2 products

I want to talk about products that I've been loving a long time and thought I would share. I'll be giving you my opinions on two Tresemme products part of their Thermal Recovery collections. The first one being their heat protectant spray called Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray and the second one being Curl Activator Spray that help hold curls.

I've used Tresemme's Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray since high school, ever since I started watching hair tutorials on youtube. It is the perfect heat protectant that smells good and works like a charm! I remember this period of time when I used up all the product, and I was just to lazy to go buy another one, I continued to use hot tools on my hair and it just resulted me getting split ends because I didn't have a heat protectant. So having a heat protectant in your hair before you do any styling with hot tools is crucial so you don't damage your hair. Plus it leaves your hair smelling good. I have tried another kind of heat protectant that wasn't from Tresemme and it just didn't feel the same so I went back to Tresemme's Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray.

I don't know if it is just me but after I dyed my hair my hair just doesn't hold curls as well as it use to. I dyed my virgin hair and now my hair is damage from all the dyes I have done on it. One day when I was at Ulta I was repurchasing the Tresemme's Heat Tamer I spotted this product that says "Curl Activator Spray". I picked it up and read the description on the bottle and just then on that spot I just had to have this product. What I love about this product is that it isn't foam, its a liquid that you spray on your hair before you use a curling wand. So I can used this on my day two hair, or day three, or whenever I feel like it. And you know the best part is? It actually does what is says it does, it actually help hold curls. I was so happy to have found a product that helps me hold curls because hair spray was just not doing it for me. So if you have hair that wouldn't hold curls then get this! It is a must!!

With these two products they will protect your hair and at the same time help you style, they're such a powerful duo. It doesn't leave residue and doesn't weigh your hair down. Tresemme have made the perfect products and I am so grateful to them. :)

NYX Matte Lipstick Review

I bought these NYX Matte Lipstick all on one purchase online when Ulta was having a sale and why did I buy 10? I no control thats why! and plus I was dying to try these, but I'm getting better at controlling myself when it comes to buy things on a spurge. Does anybody else have this problem? As you may notice I had a theme when buying these, I was going for the pink-muave color lipsticks.

The first five are the more light pink tones and I got to say I am not really satisfied with these. Some of the lighter pink really seep through your lips, even with a lipliners on, like Pale Pink and Couture, but for Temptress, Daydream, and Spirit they seem to work fine but they look very different on my lips than I expected. Out of these five bunches I would pick Temptress cause it has this little bit of orange tone to it and probably the most flattering color out of these five. You can probably work these if you put these matte lipstick on top of another lipstick.

Now these last five are more of my favorites. These are more of the mauve colors and darker. Euro Trash, Audrey, Tea Rose, Natural, and Whipped Caviar are very pigmented lipstick and work a lot better than the first five that I presented. Out of these five I like the most is Natural. I feel like it is such a nice color that it can work with almost all skin tones. Whipped Caviar is similar to Natural but just a tad bit darker if you want a similar color.

I love NYX but I honestly feel like some of their colors are hits and misses. No doubt that the darker color products feel more pigmented and more workable but it is the lighter colored ones that I wish worked for me cause these were the colors that I looked more forward to when I order them. Besides their color their staying power is decent, it comes off when eating and stays on a good amount of time. Overall I would rate these 4 out of 5 because I know that not all of the matte lipstick are a miss. Plus these are really inexpensive alternative that you can play with if you really want to get into lipsticks.

Review: L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation

Sorry for the MIA! I've been super sick(still am) and been busy with finals, which are finally over! Thank goodness! I thought I would never finish this term. Anyway back to what I've been testing out for a little over a month now the L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. I've decided to try L'oreal foundation out after hearing one of my favorite youtuber rave about it. Do some research on which L'oreal foundation to try out I've decided on their True Match Lumi foundation, there are so many good reviews about these so I gave it a try.

While doing some research I try to find my foundation match online then to look in person because I'm one of those people who do not like to pick one out and return the item for another shade, it is such a hassle to do. So what I did was google ways to find my foundation match and I've stumble across this site called Findation. All you do is insert all the foundation that you use that is a match for you and it'll match you with other foundation brands. It is pretty nifty tool I must say! If Findation does not match you with the brand or foundation you want and you know your MAC foundation shade then I suggest to google: mac shade with foundation. Thats what I do with some foundation and so far it has worked pretty well with me.

W for being warm or yellow toned. One thing that I like about L'oreal True Match foundation is that they have such a wide range to offer to all kind of skin tones. I am in the shade W3 in the True Match Lumi Foundation. This foundation gives about a medium coverage and it is build able. I feel like W3 does match me but if I were to build it up it doesn't, it gets darker, which is fine with me cause then I can probably use it for summer and wouldn't have to buy another one. Also I prefer light to medium coverage anyways.

My skin is combination and wearing this foundation does not make me break out or make me oily. You can wear this foundation with or without an primer(I tried both) and it'll last you all day, but it does come off if you were to rub your nose. Not only that it gives you a nice shine to your face that doesn't make your face oily but more of a natural glow. Which is probably why they call it Lumi. Also it has SPF 20 which is great because you won't have to apply sunscreen underneath. :D The days I feel like wearing foundation I tend to reach for this one more and more, and it is probably one of the best liquid foundation I have ever used in my life. I'm more of a powder foundation kind of gal and saying this is huge for me. Usually liquid foundation make me cakey, even with primer on.

I've did not have any unpleasant experience with this product and I think this is a wonderful foundation for the price. It gets the job done. I can see why so many people love this one, and I would recommend this product to people! Give it a try cause it is inexpensive and does the job well as high end brands do. You got nothing to lose by trying this product out. I would give this a 5 out of 5.

Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer Review

I just want to say that I'm so loving the brand Tarte. I'm slowly trying out products from Tarte and I'm loving each and everyone. The one that I really want to try is their Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation it sounds really interesting and I love powder foundation. Well anyway back to the point of this post, I like to present to you the Tarte's Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer! Long title I know so I am just going to short it up to Tarte's Smoothing Primer.

I've had this product for about almost 2 months now and so I had a good amount of time to judge this product. First lets start off with some details about it. It is said to have this blurring affect on the face and also to help repair the skin. It is infused with vitamins E and C, green bean extract, and mineral pigments. These are suppose to fight free radicals and prevent any signs of aging, also to minimize the size of your pores(plus!) and overall just improve the appearance of your skin. Who wouldn't want this after reading all the good things it does for your skin?!

Now down to the nitty gritty stuff: the review. I'll start with the pros of this product. The smell of the smoothing primer smells good, it smells like makeup (haha!) it seriously does! It doesn't have any floral scent, that I can detect, and it isn't strong so when you apply the primer the smell won't linger, which I like in a product. Aside from the smell when I apply this on my oily t-zone it instantly makes my skin matte looking and it help controls your oil throughout the day. That is a plus for me cause I have a oily forehead when not attended to(BTW I have combination skin). So applying the primer makes me look less oily with my foundation on. Sometimes I just apply the primer by itself and not apply any foundation on. I can't say that it "blurs" all of my imperfection, but it overall makes your face look smoother. The only thing that it may not blur is my large pores(how huge can my pores be?). I also can't say that it improved my skin cause I don't think I've used it enough or used it long enough to see any difference, but I have read some reviews where some people claim that it has improved their skin. One last thing that I want to rave about this primer is how long it makes your foundation last. It holds on to your foundation for a long time, day to night! I'm not even kidding. This is the real deal.

The only down side to this is the price, haha. It is almost $40 for 0.5 Fl oz of product, but I got to say it is worth it though. A little bit of the smoothing primer goes a long way. You really don't need a lot to cover your face. I've been using it for 2 months and from the picture it looks like I barely used any, it still looks full.

I want to show you guys how good this product really is! I'm going to compare it the famous Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I just want to let you guys know that I've tested with powder and liquid foundation. First off I want to point out that when it comes to holding time Tarte outlasts Smashbox hands down! Smashbox may hold onto my foundation around 6 hours then my foundation starts disappearing. As for Tarte it makes my foundation last from morning till I head to bed, which is around 11 PM. Thats how amazing it is. And the oil control of Tarte's primer has a better control than Smashbox's primer(please do note that this is the original Smashbox primer and not the oil control one, I have not tested with that one yet). That is how amazing this primer is, you must give it a try! I know it is a little pricy but it is only three dollars more than Smashbox's primers so go get it!

My rating for Tarte's Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer is 5 out of 5 :) This is going to be one of my HG.

Maybelline Brow Drama Review

Hi! I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend. Today I'll be reviewing the Maybelline's Brow Drama in Deep Brown. The main point of me purchasing this product was for me to match my eyebrow hair color to my hair color cause I have dyed it to a lighter brown. My natural hair color is a very dark brown and another reason I got this is to find a cheaper alternative. I have fine hair and my eyebrows are okay... I don't lack hair but it still needs to be filled in to have that fullness of a look if that makes any sense...

Continuing on with the review! I'll start with the pros of this product. First thing that I liked about this product is that it was cheap (thats a plus in my book). Also it holds the hairs in place cause my eyebrow hairs are usually pointing in different directions and it takes me awhile to tame them.

That was quick, now to the cons and one of them being that it did not help change the color of my eyebrows, not even a tint. Maybe it is because Deep Brown is to dark for my eyebrows to change it or maybe because the shape of the wand is too round that I can't apply the product on as well as I want to on my brows. I'm like literally going over my brows multiple times hoping it would change. The wand is a little awkward to work with, when I first did it I got some product on my skin while applying. After a few tries I learn it is best to do it with a light hand so I don't get it on my skin. I feel like if you have thinner eyebrows or to almost no eyebrows this product would not be for you because the end of the wand would be bigger than your eyebrows so you would have the product everywhere. Even if you filled in your eyebrows first and go in with this product, there is just no control of where you want to apply the product.

I would show you guys an after and before picture of what it looks like on my eyebrows but it looks the same. It isn't worth showing, it doesn't look like it was filled or anything. Overall I would give this product a two out of five stars. My reasoning for giving it a two is that at least it tamed my eyebrows throughout the day but other than that it just didn't do what I wanted it to do originally. I'll continue to use it(I don't like wasting products unless I absolutely hate it) to help tame my eyebrows and I'll just go in with pencil or something to actually fill them in.

This was a good effort on Maybelline's part on trying to make an eyebrow mascara like product(this is their first) and I hope they continue to making them cause I know they'll just get better as time goes on.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Review

I've never ever used any kind of "eyeshadow" product other than pressed pigmented ones that come in pans. NYX, one of my favorite brands, have these eyeshadow products called Jumbo Eye Pencil. Now these have been out for years and I didn't really get my hands on these till recently. It took me so long because I was unsure of how to use them. About a month or so ago Ulta had a small sale on some NYX products and I decided to buy two Jumbo Eye Pencil, Milk and Cashmere. (I love NYX's cashmere color)

I got to say is that these are really pigmented (as you will be able to tell on my swatches picture down below). I really love how rich the colors are. Milk really comes out white and I don't think any regular white eyeshadow would ever come out like this. Also Cashmere comes out this beautiful shimmery color that I adore even though I think its more gold color than Cashmere but I don't mind it I still love the color :).

I used Milk as a base for my eyeshadows that doesn't seem to appear as much on my eyelids, like those nude skin-like colors. Milk helps eyeshadows show more of their true color which I like. I think a lot of people use Milk for this purpose. As for Cashmere I don't use it as a base like I do with milk, I just put it in my inner corner of my eyelids to give my eyes a little pop or I put it in the middle of my eyelids when I feel like doing a shimmery gold like look.

The down side of these is that they don't quite blend as well as I would like them too. Maybe I'm just use to using eyeshadows but these seem to stick to the skin more so its harder to blend. From experience these are easier to blend with your fingers cause of the warmth from your fingers. Using a brush will sometimes make them look smudgy and even if you try to put eyeshadow on top of these it does not look as good. It has to be smooth out pretty well which is sometimes a challenge.

swatches on my hand: Cashmere / Milk

Overall I would give this product a 4 out of 5 because I think this is a well made product and I love the packaging of these. There was only one downfall and I can honestly live with it. Also it is inexpensive which is one of the reason why I love NYX cause they are cheap and at the same time such good quality products! If you are interested NYX has beautiful color ranges for the Jumbo Eye Pencil that are so lovely you should check them out if you are into really vibrant colors.

Gifts For Her Guide

Hello! Today I'm going to do a different post from my usual product reviews. Thanksgiving is coming quickly then Christmas and that means shopping for your loved ones. I made a list of beauty products that your loved ones might like, doesn't have to be a significant other it can be a friend, mother, sister, or whoever. Down below I've compiled 12 things that people might love that doesn't involve thinking of if they'll like it cause of the colors. These are products, in my opinion that can go well with anyone, though you may have to snoop around a bit to see if they have these or not. Here are my top picks for beauty products:

1. Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze & Glow ($65.00)
2. Jo Malone London - Nectarine Blossom & Honey ($60.00)
3. Tarte - Chic to Cheek Deluxe Amazonian Clay Blush Set ($35.00)
4. Urban Decay - Vice 3 ($60.00)
5. LORAC - PRO Palette 2 ($42.00)
6. Buxom - Lip Gloss Roulette ($59.00)

7. Urban Decay - Naked 3 ($59.00)
8. Urban Decay - Naked 2 Basics ($29.00)
9. Fresh - Sugar Cravings Kissing Trio ($28.00)
10. Nars - The NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette ($79.00)
11. Clarisonic - Mia 2 Pure Glow Holiday Gift Set ($149.00)
12. Hourglass - Ambient Lighting Blush Palette ($58.00)

Please you do not have to choose these specifically, do look around the websites and see what you think she might like. A gift should be thoughtful. If you see something that reminds you of that person then get it :)

Of course not all ladies in our lives are interest in beauty product as much as others. So try to think of what she likes. I think knowing what a person likes and getting them something that relates to their interest shows a lot of sincerity. Or you don't want to get them beauty products because you know they already have too much. So I've also made a list of general things that she might like:

If she likes Fall/Winter weather then I suggest giving her scarves. Now a days the trend for scarves are big huge scarves so may I suggest scarves from Zara and Aritzia. I honestly think they have beautiful scarves. Another one are boots, can never go wrong with boots! Unless you picked the wrong size but that doesn't matter cause as long you keep the receipt you can always trade in for the right size. I feel like you can't give a girl any kind of boots and call it good. You got to know her personality and style so you can find the right boots for her. Look around on Nordstrom I think they have the best varieties of shoes and DSW.

An awesome idea to give as a gift is a trip to somewhere! You can never go wrong with a get-away to somewhere :) It can be a family get-away, or a group of friends, or a couple get-away. Another idea is a gift to a cruise trip! I think that would be an awesome gift!

Overall whatever gift you give her it should come from the heart. If you can't think of anything to give her maybe think about her favorite products or maybe if a product is being discontinue then gift her that discontinue product so she can have backups of her favorite product. If you need help thinking of an idea then do not be afraid to ask :)

review: Burt's Bees Lip Crayon

Here with another lip product review! Yea I know theres been a lot of me doing them but I can't help it. This time it is the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon. I really like these lip crayons cause they're really pigmented and so easy to apply. They're not like some lip sticks where it looks chappy when applied. The colors that I would be reviewing are Niagara Overlook and Redwood Forest.

What I love about these is that they're matte. I love matte products and I choose these colors because I feel like they're not too extreme of a color I feel like they're they perfect shade to rock on a every day basis. I think these lip crayons are the perfect introductory to lipsticks cause they glide on so perfectly. Also they last very well throughout the day the only time you would have to reapply is after you eat as they do come off a bit when eating. Also you don't have to apply a lip liner underneath which means one less step in your routine.

Redwood Forest

Niagara Overlook

Redwood Forest / Niagara Overlook

Overall I would give this product a 5 out of 5. I love lip crayons they're so easy to use and you can never go wrong with them. :)

The perfect fall nail color: Essie's Who Is The Boss

For some reason I've been feeling kind like a blue but not so blue nail polish, something toned down. (Yes, I have color moods). So I went through my tiny little nail polish collection(mostly consists of Essie because I love them!) and I found to happen to stumble across an old nail polish called Who Is the Boss. It was part of Essie's Wedding Collection in 2012 I believe. So I'm sorry to be sharing a color that is no longer available but I just want to share my current obsession. I've tried looking for it online but it isn't anywhere to be found.

I think Who Is The Boss is the perfect fall nail polish color because its not too bright, or too dark, and it has a nice grey tone to it. And I love grey in the colder weathers because I feel it just go well with the coldness hahaha. Yea I'm not sure what I'm saying, it's just hard to describe the feelings. But anyway it's just my current color mood and I'm just loving it people! It's such a beautiful color. I read the description on the Essie website it describe it as a minty green color but for some reason I see blue, am I color blind?

Since Who Is The Boss is no longer being sold I went and look to find something similar and I found Zoya nail polish that has more of a blue color with a hint of grey nail polish: Zoya - Kristen ($9)

What's your favorite nail polish you like to rock this fall?

Review: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor - Plum Perfect and Blissful Berry

I've been trying out lipstick products and I just want to rave about these Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolors: Plum Perfect and Blissful Berry. I found these lipsticks very hydrating on my lips and perfect for the fall! Maybelline offers many varieties of colors for their Color Sensational line such as nudes, pinks, reds, and plums. Of course I try out the plum color lipsticks because I'm into dark color lips right now. Also these last a lot longer than I do also they look so vibrant on my lips, which I love. The color on the bullet seems to appear the same color as when applied :) which is a plus! No one likes lipsticks that look a different color than it appears in life :O

The only downside about these is the smell. It is not a like a BIG downside for me but I just want to make a note of it because it does have a scent to them. I think depending who you are you might like it. I'm okay with it, it is not my FAVORITE scent but it doesn't linger so thats a good thing. :) Still though an awesome product you must try if you haven't!

Blissful Berry (its not this red looking its more plum looking it's just my lighting was weird)

Plum Perfect

Swatches on my hand

Overall I would rate this product a 4.5 out of 5 cause I'm just not into the scent but I'm still going to use these cause the product is more amazing then its smell and luckily the smell doesn't last forever so you won't have stinky lips. ;P

Angel's Rest Hike

A popular hike but kind of difficult one. This hike is mostly going up and if you're not in shape then this one might take you about two hours but the view is worth it! If your in top shape then this one might take you an hour or so. Angel's rest is part of the Columbia River Gorge hikes and you get a spectacular view at the very top. To get here from Portland just take I-5 N toward Dalles and then I-84 E toward the Dalles then take exit 28, the Bridal Veil(Which is part of the Historic Columbia River Highway). Taking on exit 28 and the first stop you encounter there should be a parking lot on the right and that should be the spot you park your car. Its right there by the exit so you won't have trouble finding it. Or if you're not that great with written directions just GPS it it should be there on the map.

You should see a sign(like the image above) and see how far from the beginning to the top of Angel's Rest is, which isn't so bad. When you start the trail in the beginning you'll meet two paths and take the one to the left or go to the one thats straight to the path that you are on. Then the path should be pretty straight forward from here. :)

I went to Angel's Hike when it was Fall so that explains some trees being naked :x but its still a beautiful place, but I prefer this place in the summer :) I'm going to stop chit chatting now and let you enjoy the rest. I hope I encourage you to go out and explore your own backyard :)

You don't need hiking shoes to hike :) and running shoes will do
