NYX Matte Lipstick Review

I bought these NYX Matte Lipstick all on one purchase online when Ulta was having a sale and why did I buy 10? I no control thats why! and plus I was dying to try these, but I'm getting better at controlling myself when it comes to buy things on a spurge. Does anybody else have this problem? As you may notice I had a theme when buying these, I was going for the pink-muave color lipsticks.

The first five are the more light pink tones and I got to say I am not really satisfied with these. Some of the lighter pink really seep through your lips, even with a lipliners on, like Pale Pink and Couture, but for Temptress, Daydream, and Spirit they seem to work fine but they look very different on my lips than I expected. Out of these five bunches I would pick Temptress cause it has this little bit of orange tone to it and probably the most flattering color out of these five. You can probably work these if you put these matte lipstick on top of another lipstick.

Now these last five are more of my favorites. These are more of the mauve colors and darker. Euro Trash, Audrey, Tea Rose, Natural, and Whipped Caviar are very pigmented lipstick and work a lot better than the first five that I presented. Out of these five I like the most is Natural. I feel like it is such a nice color that it can work with almost all skin tones. Whipped Caviar is similar to Natural but just a tad bit darker if you want a similar color.

I love NYX but I honestly feel like some of their colors are hits and misses. No doubt that the darker color products feel more pigmented and more workable but it is the lighter colored ones that I wish worked for me cause these were the colors that I looked more forward to when I order them. Besides their color their staying power is decent, it comes off when eating and stays on a good amount of time. Overall I would rate these 4 out of 5 because I know that not all of the matte lipstick are a miss. Plus these are really inexpensive alternative that you can play with if you really want to get into lipsticks.

review: Burt's Bees Lip Crayon

Here with another lip product review! Yea I know theres been a lot of me doing them but I can't help it. This time it is the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon. I really like these lip crayons cause they're really pigmented and so easy to apply. They're not like some lip sticks where it looks chappy when applied. The colors that I would be reviewing are Niagara Overlook and Redwood Forest.

What I love about these is that they're matte. I love matte products and I choose these colors because I feel like they're not too extreme of a color I feel like they're they perfect shade to rock on a every day basis. I think these lip crayons are the perfect introductory to lipsticks cause they glide on so perfectly. Also they last very well throughout the day the only time you would have to reapply is after you eat as they do come off a bit when eating. Also you don't have to apply a lip liner underneath which means one less step in your routine.

Overall I would give this product a 5 out of 5. I love lip crayons they're so easy to use and you can never go wrong with them. :)

Review: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor - Plum Perfect and Blissful Berry

I've been trying out lipstick products and I just want to rave about these Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolors: Plum Perfect and Blissful Berry. I found these lipsticks very hydrating on my lips and perfect for the fall! Maybelline offers many varieties of colors for their Color Sensational line such as nudes, pinks, reds, and plums. Of course I try out the plum color lipsticks because I'm into dark color lips right now. Also these last a lot longer than I do also they look so vibrant on my lips, which I love. The color on the bullet seems to appear the same color as when applied :) which is a plus! No one likes lipsticks that look a different color than it appears in life :O

The only downside about these is the smell. It is not a like a BIG downside for me but I just want to make a note of it because it does have a scent to them. I think depending who you are you might like it. I'm okay with it, it is not my FAVORITE scent but it doesn't linger so thats a good thing. :) Still though an awesome product you must try if you haven't!

Blissful Berry (its not this red looking its more plum looking it's just my lighting was weird)

Overall I would rate this product a 4.5 out of 5 cause I'm just not into the scent but I'm still going to use these cause the product is more amazing then its smell and luckily the smell doesn't last forever so you won't have stinky lips. ;P

Review: LUSH lip scrub - love thy lips!

I'm back again with another review! Lately I've been into lipsticks, I'm not really a lipstick kind of gal, but I just thought I would step outside of my bubble a bit. A bought a few(maybe more than a few...) lipsticks to try out but when I tried them on it didn't look right. My lips looked chappy when I applied lipstick on, especially pink lipsticks. Of course the only solution to fix this ratchet look (xD) is to have my lips exfoliated.

I know there are homemade lip scrubs out there but I've tried it once and it was just to messy for my taste. I believed I tried making the homemade lip scrub out of sugar, honey, and vaseline but I just end up throwing it away it didn't do my lips justice. Then I've tried scrubbing my lips with a toothbrush but I didn't like the idea and it hurts my lip's skin, but I think brushing your lips would be the cheapest option for exfoliating your lips.

In the end I decided to go buy a lip scrub from LUSH because I've read so many good reviews about their lip scrub. I went to my closest LUSH boutique and purchase the Mint Julips lip scrub for $9.95. One thing that I like about LUSH is that they're products are all made of natural ingredients. Mint Julips is made out of castor sugar, jojoba oil, vanilla extract, etageres oil, peppermint oil, and limonene. There are two more kinds of lip scrub, Bubblegum and Popcorn, but I chose Mint Julips because I like that cooling feel after you scrub your lips like the feeling after you brush your teeth :D

I've been trying this product since the beginning of this month and it makes my lips flawless! At night time or in the morning I use the LUSH's lip scrub, every other day, and apply lip balm after wards. Thus making my lips looking kissable and free of a chappy look.

Also a little cool little fact about LUSH's lip scrub is that they are edible so if you want you can just eat it right out of the jar or from your lips ;P

Down to business I would overall rate this bad boy 5 out of 5! Because it is that freakin awesome of a product. Forever repurchasing!

Review: Vaseline Lip Therapy Review

This is all about treating your lips right with Vaseline! Thats right Vaseline, it may sound weird to some of you but it works trust me! I've been using a travel size Vaseline jar that I got from the store for about a year now and I've been using as a lip balm in the morning and the night. Doing this makes my lips not chap and dry because I tend to have dry and flaky lips (eww I know but it happens lol). Now that Vaseline have release a lip therapy line I've always wanted to try it for like a year now and now is the time that I try them ;) to see what they're all about.

So Vaseline released three kinds of lip therapy products: original, cocoa butter, and rosy lips. The original is Vaseline original formula product that they put in the little jar and this is my favorite one out of all them. For me I feel like the original works more, my lips does not feel as tight after a few minutes like the other two. As for the cocoa butter it just has a hint of cocoa butter in it and the consistency of this one is a little more stiff. As for the rosy lips consistency is really loose(?), the first time I put my finger in the jar to put some on my lips my finger slipped and I got to much. The consistency for all three are different which threw me off but it wasn't really a deal breaker for me.

About Vaseline's rosy lips when you put it on it gives your lips a nice tad bit tint to your lips which I like because I feel like my lips can have this dull color. Putting this on makes my lips not look dead so thats a plus for this one. As for cocoa butter it have a nice cocoa smell and clear on the lips which is also a good thing if you do not want a tiny tint to your lips.

One more thing about all three of them is the feel when you put them on your lip is quite different from the original. The original feels like it does not make your skin feel tight after a few minutes and it sits longer on your lips. As for the other two after a few minutes it kind of tightens your lips but still moisturize but I feel like it does not moisturize as much as the original one.

You can purchase these for less than $2 and I'll post a link where you can get them:
- Original
- Rosy Lips
- Cocoa Butter

Oh and another thing is I have a awesome tip for those people who self dye their hair: Use vaseline(the original) all around your hairline where you do not want to dye your skin. Leave it on your skin till you are done with dying your hair then remove it with cloth and your skin shall be protected from the dye :)

Now it is time for me to continue watching Revenge, I AM HOOKED ON THIS SHOW!! Bye lovelies! <3
