TONI&GUY Cleanse Dry Shampoo Review

Here with another dry shampoo review! I'll be giving you guys my thoughts on the TONI&GUY Cleanse Dry Shampoo. I bought this one on a spontaneous buy while I was walking around Ulta. All I remember at that moment was looking at the TONI&GUY section, seeing this on the shelf, and I'm thinking to myself I got to try this cause I was in a need for a new dry shampoo. To be honest I didn't see the price for it and I wouldn't think it would be expensive but it ran up to be $16.99. It is way to pricy for me to spend on a dry shampoo but I really wanted to try it so I got it anyways.

I'm just going to get to the point about this one and I just want to say it doesn't work. It does not take away the oil at all. If you were to spray this in your hair it will still look oily and I think the point of dry shampoo is to make it look like you've taken a shower while taking away the excess oil. I have fine straight hair and I usually use dry shampoo on the 3rd and 4th day. Every time I use this dry shampoo I would always have to tie my hair up because my hair look so oily. I thought it was just the way I was using it so I've tried shaking it for a longer period of time, or spraying at a closer or farther distance and the result were all the same: oily looking hair. I would not suggest this product at all. Plus it is way to expensive for a dry shampoo. I think I've learn my lesson to research my products first before spontaneous buying them.

Tresemme Thermal Creations - 2 products

I want to talk about products that I've been loving a long time and thought I would share. I'll be giving you my opinions on two Tresemme products part of their Thermal Recovery collections. The first one being their heat protectant spray called Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray and the second one being Curl Activator Spray that help hold curls.

I've used Tresemme's Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray since high school, ever since I started watching hair tutorials on youtube. It is the perfect heat protectant that smells good and works like a charm! I remember this period of time when I used up all the product, and I was just to lazy to go buy another one, I continued to use hot tools on my hair and it just resulted me getting split ends because I didn't have a heat protectant. So having a heat protectant in your hair before you do any styling with hot tools is crucial so you don't damage your hair. Plus it leaves your hair smelling good. I have tried another kind of heat protectant that wasn't from Tresemme and it just didn't feel the same so I went back to Tresemme's Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray.

I don't know if it is just me but after I dyed my hair my hair just doesn't hold curls as well as it use to. I dyed my virgin hair and now my hair is damage from all the dyes I have done on it. One day when I was at Ulta I was repurchasing the Tresemme's Heat Tamer I spotted this product that says "Curl Activator Spray". I picked it up and read the description on the bottle and just then on that spot I just had to have this product. What I love about this product is that it isn't foam, its a liquid that you spray on your hair before you use a curling wand. So I can used this on my day two hair, or day three, or whenever I feel like it. And you know the best part is? It actually does what is says it does, it actually help hold curls. I was so happy to have found a product that helps me hold curls because hair spray was just not doing it for me. So if you have hair that wouldn't hold curls then get this! It is a must!!

With these two products they will protect your hair and at the same time help you style, they're such a powerful duo. It doesn't leave residue and doesn't weigh your hair down. Tresemme have made the perfect products and I am so grateful to them. :)

NYX Matte Lipstick Review

I bought these NYX Matte Lipstick all on one purchase online when Ulta was having a sale and why did I buy 10? I no control thats why! and plus I was dying to try these, but I'm getting better at controlling myself when it comes to buy things on a spurge. Does anybody else have this problem? As you may notice I had a theme when buying these, I was going for the pink-muave color lipsticks.

The first five are the more light pink tones and I got to say I am not really satisfied with these. Some of the lighter pink really seep through your lips, even with a lipliners on, like Pale Pink and Couture, but for Temptress, Daydream, and Spirit they seem to work fine but they look very different on my lips than I expected. Out of these five bunches I would pick Temptress cause it has this little bit of orange tone to it and probably the most flattering color out of these five. You can probably work these if you put these matte lipstick on top of another lipstick.

Now these last five are more of my favorites. These are more of the mauve colors and darker. Euro Trash, Audrey, Tea Rose, Natural, and Whipped Caviar are very pigmented lipstick and work a lot better than the first five that I presented. Out of these five I like the most is Natural. I feel like it is such a nice color that it can work with almost all skin tones. Whipped Caviar is similar to Natural but just a tad bit darker if you want a similar color.

I love NYX but I honestly feel like some of their colors are hits and misses. No doubt that the darker color products feel more pigmented and more workable but it is the lighter colored ones that I wish worked for me cause these were the colors that I looked more forward to when I order them. Besides their color their staying power is decent, it comes off when eating and stays on a good amount of time. Overall I would rate these 4 out of 5 because I know that not all of the matte lipstick are a miss. Plus these are really inexpensive alternative that you can play with if you really want to get into lipsticks.

Review: L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation

Sorry for the MIA! I've been super sick(still am) and been busy with finals, which are finally over! Thank goodness! I thought I would never finish this term. Anyway back to what I've been testing out for a little over a month now the L'oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. I've decided to try L'oreal foundation out after hearing one of my favorite youtuber rave about it. Do some research on which L'oreal foundation to try out I've decided on their True Match Lumi foundation, there are so many good reviews about these so I gave it a try.

While doing some research I try to find my foundation match online then to look in person because I'm one of those people who do not like to pick one out and return the item for another shade, it is such a hassle to do. So what I did was google ways to find my foundation match and I've stumble across this site called Findation. All you do is insert all the foundation that you use that is a match for you and it'll match you with other foundation brands. It is pretty nifty tool I must say! If Findation does not match you with the brand or foundation you want and you know your MAC foundation shade then I suggest to google: mac shade with foundation. Thats what I do with some foundation and so far it has worked pretty well with me.

W for being warm or yellow toned. One thing that I like about L'oreal True Match foundation is that they have such a wide range to offer to all kind of skin tones. I am in the shade W3 in the True Match Lumi Foundation. This foundation gives about a medium coverage and it is build able. I feel like W3 does match me but if I were to build it up it doesn't, it gets darker, which is fine with me cause then I can probably use it for summer and wouldn't have to buy another one. Also I prefer light to medium coverage anyways.

My skin is combination and wearing this foundation does not make me break out or make me oily. You can wear this foundation with or without an primer(I tried both) and it'll last you all day, but it does come off if you were to rub your nose. Not only that it gives you a nice shine to your face that doesn't make your face oily but more of a natural glow. Which is probably why they call it Lumi. Also it has SPF 20 which is great because you won't have to apply sunscreen underneath. :D The days I feel like wearing foundation I tend to reach for this one more and more, and it is probably one of the best liquid foundation I have ever used in my life. I'm more of a powder foundation kind of gal and saying this is huge for me. Usually liquid foundation make me cakey, even with primer on.

I've did not have any unpleasant experience with this product and I think this is a wonderful foundation for the price. It gets the job done. I can see why so many people love this one, and I would recommend this product to people! Give it a try cause it is inexpensive and does the job well as high end brands do. You got nothing to lose by trying this product out. I would give this a 5 out of 5.
